At the top of the TriRig SL line sits Mercury SL: the long-awaited followup to our cult-classic weight weenie pedals. Mercury SL stands out as one of the lightest clipless pedals on the market, making it a top choice for those seeking lightweight road bike pedals. Retaining the ultraminimal design of its predecessor, it improves upon every aspect. First up, we managed to fit two large stainless steel bearings into the pedal body, larger even than most bearings that are in your current pedal. These reduce friction and ensure ultra-smooth pedal action. Yet we managed this improvement without a single added gram of weight. The pair of pedals comes in at 81 grams complete, less than ONE THIRD the weight of a set of top-shelf competitor pedals, and the lightest three-bolt cleat system ever made.

We don't make any sacrifices to cleat design to accomplish its lightweight design: Mercury SL retains the standard three-bolt pattern of every road shoe on the market, with improved range of adjustment. Even better - the new and improved cleats are backwards-compatible with legacy Mercury pedals, and legacy cleats are compatible with Mercury SL. Like its predecessor, Mercury SL is a fixed-position pedal, with no float for a true locked-in feeling (and in our opinion, a more solid ride).
